Brandon Blog

Sitting here in the car at Brandon in County Kerry, with the Kingdom of Tralee and South Clare afront, one cannot ignore the smallness of man. Truly we are blessed on this land. Many come to visit or tiny island every day in search of the “craic” but most come for the scenery we too often ignore and take for granted.

The beauty of this island is depicted in the view from Brandon Point on this 20 degrees sunny July evening in 2005. Midst calm ocean and ponderous sheep, through hazed heat and lamb’s bleat, beautiful Ireland shines as it should – bright and with pride of joy.
